Good to know

The Cabin is a perfectly sized one-bedroom, one-bathroom home. Walking in the front door, you’re greeted with a welcoming living room and fireplace for gazing out on the meadow. The plush couch can also serve as an extra bed with sheets and a pillow. We offer a full dining table to seat four guests and a desk overlooking an apple tree, blossoming with white flowers in the spring and tasty fruit in the fall. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for home-cooked feasts, including a Bosch fridge, gas range, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and Breville toaster oven. Enjoy the counter seating, allowing for breakfast ease or as a casual place to gather. The bedroom is resplendent with natural light. At your disposal are a closet, bench, and luggage rack as well as side tables with charging ports. We’ve provided robes, slippers and natural bath products for your luxurious weekend moments. The bathroom has double sinks with lighted vanity and a shower. The area Located only a three-minute walk from the cabin is the famous Mendocino Coast "blow hole” park. We encourage you to take in this natural wonder before continuing another few yards to spectacular ocean views. Walk or take a one-minute drive to Little River Inn for delicious local food and to enjoy their oceanview cocktail bar during sunset, as well as to explore Van Damme State Park Beach and hiking trails. Ready to emerge from cabin's privacy and natural beauty? Drive five-minutes north on Highway-1 to find boutiques, Victorian charm, Headlands trails, and restaurants in the historic-preserved town of Mendocino, CA.

Other Details to Note

Though we love pets, we don’t allow them on the property. This property is meant to be a peaceful retreat for you and the owners and neighbors who live here, so we ask that you minimize loud noise and honor quiet hours between 10pm and 8am, or 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights.

Jonathan's place is the perfect spot for a quiet getaway near Mendocino. He left us plenty of recommendations for activities and good eats nearby and was very responsive. The place itself was lovely! Highly recommend ~

We had such a wonderful stay at this little gem of a cabin! We have stated a lot of vacation rentals and this one really had all the little touches that are so important! The bed was very comfortable as was all the rest of the furniture in the house. I love all the unique Vintage touches throughout the house and all the plants made it feel Like home. It seems the tea kettle for all the yummy teas and pour over coffee for the house had disappeared and I was really excited to have my evening tea but then I messaged the host and he brought one over right away! The morning coffee was also delicious. We were on a 9 Night Rd. trip and this is the fifth Airbnb we stayed at and by far the one we slept the most sound and comfortable at. 10/10 recommend!

My wife and I stayed at Jonathan’s Airbnb, and it was amazing. Felt very private. We were able to lie outside and watch the sunset. The weather was fantastic. There is a crab apple tree that deer (a whole family) would come eat off of every afternoon. We also had other timid wild animal encounters. It was great. Not far from restaurants or the coast. The fried whole fish at little river inn should not be missed. Thanks Jonathan.

Jonathan's Little River Cabin was exactly what I expected. It was well set up with most amenities you need (iron/ironing board) and even some you don't expect (robe & slippers) The location was perfect, a quick drive to Mendocino. or a short walk to the Little River Inn Restaurant for cocktails with a view, brunch on the weekend or an early dinner. The surroundings are beautiful with a lovely back deck to watch the deer with their babies each morning as I had my coffee. A warm cozy fireplace for the cool mornings and evenings. It was clean, comfortable and peaceful with plenty of space for one or two people. Jonathan was a great host and very helpful. If you aren't familiar with the area, he provides you with a great listing of hikes, restaurants, places to see etc. Little River Cabin and the area was just what I needed to recharge. I will definitely return to this perfect "Little River Cabin" in the forest. A big thank you to Jonathan for sharing this lovely home.

We enjoyed our stay! Beautiful, peaceful surroundings and a nice walk to the blow hole which I would highly recommend. The Pygmy forest was neat and also close by, and the town of Mendocino was not far and fun to walk around. The house itself was lovely, we really enjoyed it!

Jonathon was awesome and his place was a highlight of our trip up the coast. The details around the house made it feel like home and the kitchen/back patio, and local seafood allowed us to cook a special dinner. 10/10 recommend staying here!

10/10 stay !! Gorgeous peaceful spot close to the beach and town. Loved the natural light, door in the bedroom, and honestly everything this place had! The furniture and decorations are gorgeous and so calming. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and hanging out. Loved our stay and will be back! The robes were a lux nice touch too :)

Fantastic, perfectly curated, bright and airy space. We got the best sleep ever here. Comfiest bed and linens. Kitchen is an absolute delight to cook in and they provide cooking basics like olive oil, salt/pepper, ground coffee/tea). Shower knobs weren't intuitive but you can def get hot water once they're set up right! Would return in a heartbeat!!
